This Environmental Charter shows that Cymaco is not only in compliance with all applicable environmental regulations, but also has taken further actions beyond the legal obligations.
After a conscientious audit, performed by representatives of the Flemish government and environmental inspectors, of Cymaco’s environmental license and only after a positive assessment, further actions concerning environment care were elaborated.
For this charter one of the targets was to increase the involvement of Cymaco’s staff in and to carry out the company’s policy concerning the daily care for our environment.
Also some technical aspects have been considered, like maintaining the outlook of gas cylinders for a longer time by applying a protective foil or the recuperation of labels from the medical sector.
The certificate hereafter shows that Cymaco was successful on all actions.

CYMACO (Cylinder Maintenance Company) from Belgium will establish a new workshop for periodic inspection, repair and refurbishment of single- and bundled acetylene cylinders in the strategic neighbourhood of the acetylene filling station of SABIC on the Chemelot site. The new workshop will be operational in the first quarter of 2008 and can receive the cylinders for treatment directly from the nearby acetylene filling station.

To improve the service to their customers and in the same time to raise the production capacity, CYMACO is building a new test shop for acetylene cylinders and bundles in Geleen (The Netherlands).
